Enfra was engaged by QBuild to respond to an afterhours outage at a corrective services facility following Ergon Energy isolating supply due to damage at the property pole. Our team attended site within 45 minutes to assess the defect, stabilise the installation, and coordinate immediate actions with site representatives.
The works involved rectifying UV-degraded cabling that had resulted in insulation failure, tracking, and phase arcing. A temporary repair was implemented by qualified linesmen and an HV cable joiner, followed by testing, certification, and coordination with Ergon Energy for expedited re-energisation.
These works were critical in restoring full site operations, including essential services, ensuring minimal disruption to facility staff and occupants while a permanent replacement solution was scheduled.
