Electrical Maintenance

Our Electrical Maintenance Division services all areas of our operations, providing comprehensive routine and preventative maintenance programs across high and low voltage networks, specialised lighting, hazardous areas, including inspections, process control systems, and switchboards.

We work closely with clients to minimise downtime, extend asset life, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, delivering both planned and responsive maintenance solutions.

    • Preventive inspections of poles, crossarms, insulators, and conductor condition.

    • Thermal imaging of terminations, joints, and switchgear to identify hot spots.

    • Testing and servicing of HV circuit breakers, reclosers, and isolators.

    • Earth grid resistance testing and bonding checks.

    • Maintenance of underground cable networks, including sheath testing, joint inspections, and pit cleaning.

    • Vegetation clearance around HV infrastructure to maintain safe approach distances.

    • Replacement of aged conductors, hardware, or crossarms.

    • Inspection, testing, and maintenance of Ex-rated lighting, motors, and control equipment in accordance with AS/NZS 60079.

    • Gas detection calibration and functional testing.

    • Verification of hazardous area dossier documentation.

    • Maintenance of intrinsically safe systems, including cable integrity checks and barrier inspection.

    • Earthing and bonding inspections to mitigate static discharge risks.

    • Servicing of fuel transfer pumps, overfill protection systems, and leak detection systems.

    • Routine servicing of MCCs, switchboards, and control panels.

    • Maintenance of VSDs, PLC hardware, and associated control equipment.

    • Calibration of process instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level sensors).

    • Maintenance of control valves and pneumatic systems.

    • Cable management including replacing damaged cable trays, terminations, or glands.

    • Shutdown works including isolations, LOTO compliance, and equipment overhauls.

    • Test and tag of portable electrical equipment.

    • Emergency lighting and exit sign testing to AS/NZS 2293.

    • RCD testing and circuit insulation resistance checks.

    • General lighting repairs and LED upgrades.

    • Switchboard thermal scanning and routine servicing.

    • UPS system testing and battery replacement programs.

    • Fault finding and rectification of power and lighting circuits.
